Jabir ibn Hayyan, known as Geber in the West, was a remarkable Muslim scientist. Born in Tus, Persia in 721 CE, Jabir ibn Hayyan is known as the Father of Modern Chemistry for his significant contributions to the field of science.
From a young age, Jabir ibn Hayyan showed a keen interest in science. He studied various fields, including chemistry, physics, astronomy, and philosophy. He then became a student of Ja'far al-Sadiq, a Shia Imam renowned for his vast knowledge.
Jabir ibn Hayyan conducted many experiments in his laboratory. He developed various new methods and apparatus for chemical research. He also discovered many new chemical substances, such as sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and aqua regia.
