Imsak: A Blessed Sign to Start Suhoor

What is Imsak?

Imsak is the time that marks the beginning of the fasting period. It occurs a few minutes before Fajr (dawn) time. Usually, the Fajr adhan (call to prayer) is sounded around 5-10 minutes after Imsak.

Why is Imsak Important?

The moment of Imsak is very important, dear friends. By knowing the Imsak time, we can make sure to stop eating and drinking before Fajr time arrives.

How to Know the Imsak Time?

There are several ways to find out the Imsak time:

  • Imsak Schedule: You can find Imsak schedules online, in mosque calendars, or on smartphone apps.
  • Adhan Apps: Many adhan apps provide Imsak notification features.
  • Masjid Announcements: Usually, mosques will announce the Imsak time through loudspeakers.

Let's make the Imsak moment a good start to carrying out the fasting worship in the month of Ramadan.

May this Ramadan bring blessings and happiness to us all.
